What is Full Merino Woven Wool?

  • Cool in the summer, warm in the winter

  • Absorbs moisture

  • Shock/Weight absorbing

Our Woven Wool has this added feature:

  • No natural hide

How is it made and why?

  • Merino lambs are sheared, and then the wool is needled onto a fabric backing.

  • The wool quality, length, and density are more consistent than Merino wool on a natural hide.

  • The longevity of Woven Wool is superior to Merino Wool on a hide.

  • Sheep are not harmed in the making of this pad.

  • With Woven Wool, machine washing is simple.

Sheepskin Dressage Pad Construction

  • Two Panels of ThinLine

  • Raised wither profile to accommodate more top-lines.

  • Heavy Duty Cotton base – cotton with dense weave and light wool fill.

  • Durable Billet Straps

  • Pocket under ThinLine for adding saddle fitting shims

  • Dense top quality Merino needled wool on a synthetic hide.

  • Spine channel.  Our Merino sheepskin is sheared shorter in the center of the pad creating a spine-free center band.
